LA BESTIA
2017

La Bestia is a photographic documentation of a walk along Mexican train tracks, looking for traces of refugees traveling on freight trains that run from southern Arriaga up north to the US-American border. Fleeing from a lack of employment and from poverty, violence and corruption in their countries, they face high risks of injury and crime, such as rape, kidnapping or murder, in their attempt of reaching and entering the United States. Along the train tracks many objects can be found as traces of them.
The photographs were collected in a book and a fanfold.
