EQUILIBRIUM
2016, iron tubes, rope and wood
Equilibrium consists of three objects that are usually found in public gardens. Through observation and research in public parks it became clear that people rather sit alone and scatter on several seating possibilities than sharing them with a stranger. The design of these three objects is meant to encourage social contact and communication. Because of a balance game, enabled through the red rope, the objects function best when used in two or, in case of the table, in a group of four.
